Who we are

Gut Lock Fix Inc. ("Gut Lock Fix," "we," "us," or "our") operates gutlockfix.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our site, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. We've written this in plain English on purpose — privacy policies should be readable.

What data we collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — collected when you complete the Gut Lock Assessment and enter your email to receive your results.
• Quiz responses — your answers to the 20-question assessment. These are stored to generate your report and may be used in aggregate (anonymized) to improve the assessment.
• Purchase information — if you purchase a product, Stripe (our payment processor) collects your payment details. We receive your email address, product purchased, and billing country. We do not store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically:

• IP address and approximate location — collected by Cloudflare (our hosting and CDN provider) as part of normal web infrastructure.
• Browser and device information — browser type, operating system, device type, and referral source, collected via server logs and analytics.
• Pages visited and time on site — basic usage data to understand how people navigate the site.
• Cookies — see the cookies section below.

How we use your information

• To deliver your Gut Lock Assessment results to the email address you provide.
• To send you educational content and updates about Gut Lock Fix — only if you opt in, and only until you unsubscribe.
• To process and fulfill purchases you make.
• To improve the site, the assessment, and our content — using aggregate, anonymized data.
• To maintain the security and performance of gutlockfix.com.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with data brokers or third-party advertisers for their own marketing purposes.

Third parties we work with

Running a website requires working with a small number of service providers. Here is who they are and what they receive:

• Cloudflare — Our hosting and CDN provider. Cloudflare processes all web traffic to gutlockfix.com and may retain logs including IP addresses per their own privacy policy.
• Stripe — Our payment processor. If you make a purchase, Stripe handles all payment data. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant. We do not store your card information. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
• AWS SES (Amazon Simple Email Service) — Used to send transactional emails, including assessment result delivery.
• Listmonk — Our self-hosted email list management tool. If you opt in to our email list, your email address is stored in Listmonk on infrastructure we control.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or other behavioral tracking scripts by default. If we add tracking tools in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be informed via a consent notice.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies — only those necessary for the site to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking cookies. Specifically:

• Session cookies — temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser, used to maintain site state during your visit.
• Cloudflare cookies — set by our infrastructure provider for security and performance purposes. These do not track you across other sites.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the quiz and assessment flow.

Your rights — GDPR and CCPA

Depending on where you live, you have legal rights over your personal data. Regardless of where you are located, we will honor all of the following requests:

• Access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — You can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — You can ask us to delete your data. We will comply within 30 days except where we are legally required to retain certain records.
• Portability — You can request your data in a common machine-readable format.
• Objection / opt-out — You can opt out of email communications at any time (see below). You can object to any processing of your data for which we rely on legitimate interest.
• Withdrawal of consent — Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its "sale." We do not sell personal information. To submit a California privacy request, use the same email above.

How to unsubscribe from emails

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you will be removed from our list within 24 hours. You can also email hello@gutlockfix.com with the subject "Unsubscribe" and we'll remove you manually.

Children's privacy

Gut Lock Fix is not directed at children under the age of 13 in the United States or under 16 in the European Union. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you believe a child under the applicable age has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Data retention

We retain your email address and quiz responses for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days. Aggregate anonymized data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active subscribers by email. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
